A P&L answers what the business earned in a period. Payout reconciliation answers how provider transactions, fees, refunds, timing adjustments, and settlement records formed a payout. They are related but not interchangeable.

  • Provider settlement detail is available only when the connected source supplies it.
  • An order-to-payout link does not prove the bank deposit without a connected bank feed or imported statement.
  • Refunds and adjustments may settle in a different period from the original order.
  • Currency conversion and provider timing can explain differences without changing the economic-period P&L.
